Club Internacional, also known as Vacation Clubs International (VCI) was the very first Royal Resort and constructed in the mid 1970's. The style and layout of the resort is very different from the subsequent designs used later on. Instead of a tall high rise building surrounding the swimming pool in a horse shoe shape, VCI was constructed as a series of low rise buildings with pools, gardens and cobblestone walkways winding through and around the structures. The effect is very relaxing and pleasing to the senses in that you feel like you are staying in a small Mediterranean village. Although VCI is the oldest Royal Resort, there has been constant and complete maintenance performed here on an ongoing basis. You will find the villas, furnishings, appliances and all resort amenities to be in excellent condition and well up to the Gold Crown standard you expect. The resort is located directly on the beach The beach here is large and has a gradual slope out into the water. The waves are gentle due to the protection afforded by the bay, and the ocean is safe to swim in at any time. Royal Resorts provides a small fleet of sailboats that are for use of guests free of charge. There are also two fresh water swimming pools. Clean beach towels are provided daily also free of charge. The villas come in two different configurations. The "B" villas are one level, with two full bedrooms, one bath, living room, dining room, large outside terrace and full size American kitchen. The "C" villas are two levels with one bedroom up and one bedroom down, 2 outside terraces, 2 full baths, living and dining rooms and of course the full kitchen. The villas are comfortably furnished, have excellent air conditioning with separate thermostats for each room, marble floors and solid concrete construction. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. An additional sleeping area is a fold down Murphy type bed in the living room. Each room has a television set with cable TV and premium channels. Club Internacional is also well located, close to town, shopping malls and great restaurants. Royal Resorts also provides free transportation to and from their other facilities. When staying at Club Internacional, you have complete privileges to visit and use the other Royal Resorts.
